Future of Industrials and the "Old Economy"
With all the ongoing hype around tech, what are y'all's thoughts on the future of industrials and "old economy" businesses? Is there a contrarian case that the spotlight being on tech will create opportunities for experienced investors to capitalize on overlooked industrials companies? Will industrials investors continue shifting their focus to modernizing businesses through automation and digitization? Will this decade reward those who choose to specialize in industrials going into the 2020s?
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm hoping we can start a new, productive discussion to learn from each others' thoughts.
