The SEC has recently filed a lawsuit against Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, after his misleading tweets about taking the company private.
Looks like the SEC is looking to bar Musk as an officer of the company...How do you guys think this will affect the future of the Tesla?
think the stock will get hammered, once they hire an auto exec that actually knows operations/manufacturing, the stock will sky rocket.

Disagree wholeheartedly that a new CEO will help. The entire stock price is "a bet on Elon." Without him, it's just a car company, low margins and capital intensive. If anything the fact that him leaving as CEO is being seriously discussed just further de-validates the long thesis. You're definitely not long because of free cash flow.

True. That argument is backed by the fact that the stock dropped so darastically when Elon, not Tesla, was sued. That being said, if Elon makes it through this (possibly with a fine), then now would be a good time to buy the dip
