Future plans on your resume?
I'm going to be assuming a leading role in the IB club at my college this year, and I plan on making many changes/additions to the club to help prepare students more effectively for banking.
Since I am only starting now, there wont be many significant effects to speak of. The problem is I want to start sending my resume out asap.
Would it be a good idea to include some of the plans I have for the future of the club in my resume now? Or should I just note my position and answer questions that come up in the interviews?
Don't put things on it that you haven't done. Wait until you do something before sending your resume out since it's still only August, or send it out without the things on it.
University of Wisconsin? It's the only IB club I've actually heard of. And I agree with the above poster, keep it simple. People will credit you for being head of the club, no need to put things that you haven't already done on there.
Resumes are for things you have done and are doing - future plans are for the verbal interview
How to declare on the CV that you are planning to do a MSc in finance or a related field in the future (Originally Posted: 08/28/2015)
Hi,
Let's say you are in your final year of an integrated master program like an MEng. You want to apply for summer internships which a lot of them require you to be in your penultimate year of study. If you were planning to do a MSc after your MEng graduation, you are essentially in your penultimate year of study and it's probably worth clarifying that on your CV right? Question is, what do you put on your CV if you haven't gotten a place yet?
Nothing. It would be like saying "planning to go to Harvard". If you are already enrolled in the finance MSc, then you can list it.
