Game of Thrones finale

Absolutely sucked. Writing for the whole season was rushed - felt sloppy. There was a water bottle under a chair in a scene during the finale, just like the Starbucks cup fiasco. Someone made the point of saying do you know how unorganized it has to be for this two things to get into the final shot?

Ending was leaked for ~ a month prior to the episode? what happened to their ways to prevent leaks? It seems as this is another example of how this last season was just not done well.

Who at HBO watched this and said "This is amazing content - writing is perfect - its mistake free"

18 months for 6 episodes - and that is what you get?

I'm not signing that pointless petition, and I do think this is being overly criticized and there was not an ending that would make everyone happy but yikes - terrible ending to a great show. I would rather have seen night king win. First 7 seasons were amazing, that last season and especially the final 4 episodes were tragically bad. Rushed character developments, bad writing, missed editing issues, leaks, etc.

Water bottle and Starbucks cups were symbolic of how this season was. Will miss the show - also think they are bringing it back in 10 years or a show that is 10 years in the future of GoT when Tyrion said to Jon "ask me again in 10 years" and later John says "I suppose I'll never see you again" and Tyrion respodns "I wouldn't be so sure about that"

Anyway. That is my gut reaction to it - and to paraphrase Mac from Always Sunny "I won't change my mind. I'm dug in on one side - and i'll never change - because i'm an American, rock flag and eagle."
