would it be okay to still go to the sell day? i would probably try mobility to a coverage group after the summer and the sell day might be a good opportunity to get some contacts
I would say no. Let HR know your offer is group specific, and see if they recommend for you to not come. Make connections while you're working this summer.
At most banks, there are multiple groups within capital markets. Are you sure it's not a capital markets specific sell day?
