Georgetown University MPS Real Estate -Residential to Commercial
I am currently a residential real estate broker and looking to transition to the commercial real estate sector. I'd like to obtain a position as a "real estate manger" for a national retailer such as Starbucks, Home Depot, Chick Fil A, etc, or to become a portfolio manager/ asset manager for a REIT, or something similar. I do not live in a major market so am willing to relocate. I'm also 27 years old.
My undergrad was in Communication Studies and I'm currently looking at the MS in Real Estate from Georgetown. Would love some advice on the best way to make this transition and whether or not the Georgetown program is worth it. Have considered an MBA, but was given advice to go the MS in Real Estate route due to its more specific nature. Thanks in advance!
