Getting a really nice suit made in a foreign country

Sophomore in college RN. Parent is visiting an Asian country. I'm thinking of getting them to have a super nice suit made while they're there because it's all infinitely cheaper and I've heard you can get really really nice ones there. I've seen a couple users on WSO suggest this. The only logistical issue is that I'm obviously not going to be there myself to have it made. Does anyone with sartorial experience here have any advice as to what style/material/etc I should go for, what measurements I should take, etc?

Edit: Country is India so if you have any specifics, I'd appreciate it.

Tell them to bring a good fitting suit you have and they can copy the measurements.

wool gets heavily taxed whenever it crosses country borders....so wool from argentina, that gets sent to italy, that gets sent to the US will be taxed 3 times.  However, if you buy the suit in Argentina, and then ship it to yourself, you can avoid all 3 taxes, and thus get a much cheaper suit, with the same premium wool from Argentina (or wherever)
