Getting into an Endowment Fund

Hi all, was wondering how difficult it would be to get a job at an endowment fund out of undergrad? I imagine it would be more difficult the greater the AUM is of the University. Is cold emailing the best approach to attempt to network and attain an interview as well? Would the interview be similar to an equity research interview where I should have 1 long 1 short pitch ready?
