Getting into New Analyst Programme at 28y old with two masters and 1-2 work experience?

Hiya,

Just giving you some more details to make it clear: got two masters, one in finance from a UK business school (good one but not among the top ones) and another masters in economics at Bocconi University.
Working for a relevant company in a semi-related field since 8 months.
Any chance I might be considered for the new analyst programmes?
Thanks for the help guys!

Yes but will require networking for people to put in a good word for you - not uncommon to see people in late 20s doing grad scheme especially if you are European.

Another way to join is to just look out for analyst job postings - depending on what you do there must be desks that are related in some ways (I.e commodities ops can go into commodities trading, quant risk going to quant/exotics) so network with relevant people on the desk (find them by googling bank name + product/desk name + ‘analyst’) - banks defo have analyst 1 openings that don’t need experience so if you have relevant ones should be good

Late 20s is the standard age to join a bank in continental Europe after a few degrees, i.e. in Germany or Switzerland. It is only "slightly" late in the UK, but you do have 2x Masters and work experience. Not impossible to pull off.

There are professionals who only do a Bachelors and start working, but you see quite a few people also do a Masters in continental Europe.
