You could go for the classics as you mentioned (e.g. a Cartier watch, another piece of jewellery), but I personally do not love receiving physical items as gifts. I would opt for an "experience". If she likes perfumes, you can organise a trip to an perfume studio or atelier and have an interactive afternoon where you make a custom one for her together. Maybe something along those lines.

All else fails, you could surprise her by turning up as a male stripper and performing for her, friends and family at this "party" of yours ... go easy on the helicopter, the after party special

Suggestion 1: Spa weekend at a nice hotel/resort, maybe along with a physical gift (see suggestion 2).

Suggestion 2: Physical gifts: a) classic jewellery (as mentioned) ((personally I prefer golden bismarck links and my partner/family can add to the collection over the years since it's all in the same style)). b) Lounge set in cashmere (if this seems 'too little', add something more to it). c) Designer hand-bag* or suitcase. d) Designer coat or fur e) Designer suit

*Personally, I think a lot of women in their 30s don't want to get the things that 20-year olds and influencers get as status symbols, so I would not recommend the most popular Chanel, Gucci, Dior and Prada bags for example.

If your wife has a Pinterest, a cheat code is to look at what she pins during the year

If you go new, DO NOT BUY FROM A BOUTIQUE! Go to a Richemont (they own cartier) dealer and ask for a good discount. You can probably get 20% - 30% off sticker. I can recommend one of the guys I deal with. Bought two ALS from him at a huge discount and I usually don't buy new...

Just DM me for the dealer's name, they an AD for Richemont.

Given it's covid rn, I'd opt for the watch as you suggested. As @m_1 suggested (replying because I couldn't tag you for some reason), be smart about where you buy the piece you want to present to your lady. I will just say this though, if she is a ride-or-die kind of girl who is around for the long-run, consult her for what she wants (even if it's between 2-3 pieces), so that you and her are aligned on what to get.

Hello. My wife and I try not to give each other expensive gifts, because we save all our savings for travel. So we usually give each other something symbolic. For example, on her last birthday, I gave her a keychain with a figure with her face on it myfacebobbleheads.com. She was thrilled! When the children saw the keychain, they wanted the same ones. I ordered them their personal keychains here. Now the whole family has keychains with figurines with our faces on them. In my opinion, a great idea for a simple symbolic gift. In this store, you can find a bunch of other interesting gift ideas.
