Given everything going wi COVID-19, if you were going to invest in CRE today, what types of assets would you invest in and why?

have seen lots of firms raising distressed funds but I feel like I haven't seen much talk about this on here. wanted to see where people think the best opportunities are going to be

Best opportunities? Assuming a well capitalized, institutional player?

I'd go with fortress-level/ unique retail assets. The entire retail market has been so throughly devauled. I doubt that accurate price discovery will be available anytime soon for anything retail. What I mean by all of this is I'm fucking positive sometime Q1 2021 we'll be reading on the realdeal that Blackstone bought a portfolio of a ton of super high quality/irreplaceable retail assets at a stupid discount on a basis level.

My $.02 anyway.
