If you boil it down to an hourly rate and work life balance then yeah seems like a good choice to swerve banking. But I also doubt what you’re saying as being from Rutgers involves a fair share of networking to get those offers and it’s hard to believe you’d put in the work to land those offers without understanding the very basic time commitment involved in banking.
While banking pays well no one is going in so they can earn the highest hourly wage. You’re doing it to position yourself for something great whether it’s staying in banking or moving to the buyside or industry.
