Glendower Capital

Can anyone give me some insight on Glendower Capital? Looks like they are a small PE firm based in London but I was just reached out to regarding an analyst program in NYC.

If anyone has any idea on what their comp / culture / interview process is like please let me know.

Thank you!

Do you have any updates? I'm interested in learning about how their process goes.

Well, for starters, Glendower is an asset manager that has to raise money and has a track record, similiar to Pantheon, while CPP is a pension with endless capital.

CPP can sit on their ass and just review co-invests all day and don't have to do any proactive sourcing.

Pantheons returns are pretty lucklustre and thought of more as a fund of funds shop. Their secondaries have not performed well at all.

Strong secondaries guys with big focus on GP-led transactions. Interviewed with them a while back and generally liked the culture from everyone I spoke to. As others mentioned above, they were recently acquired by CVC. Not sure if CVC had an existing secondaries group but if not, I'd imagine that is the role Glendower would take for them.

CVC did not have an existing secondaries group - they acquired Glendower for this purpose. Too bad Glendowers deals suck. Single asset deals that are hitting a net 1.6x while the rest of the direct secondary guys are doing 2-2.5x.
