GMAT Apps: Are there any good ones out there?

Are there any GMAT Apps for IOS/Android which are worth it?
As in:
-realistic questions in terms of difficulty
-enough practice questions
-good analysis of areas of strength/weakness

I am starting my GMAT prep and I am wondering if anyone who has recently done a GMAT has tried it and could share his experience.
Considering I am in transit (airplanes etc) a lot, it would be very efficient if there is a solid app for this out there.

I used the GMAT toolkit app from GMAT Club the first time I did my prep for the GMAT. The app has a lot of questions (if I remember correctly more than 500). Some of the questions are from test-prep companies (e.g. Knewton, Manhattan etc) and others are from the forums. If you are completely new to the test form and haven't seen many questions, it might help you.

However, the second time I took the GMAT, I did not do any questions from the app, but I mainly used it for the build-in OG Tracker, which I found very useful for analyzing my weak areas for official questions. (The first time I took the test I scored 700 and the second 740.)

As a quick tip, I would suggest that you focus mostly on official guide (OG) questions. Although questions from test prep companies can be useful at the beginning, many of them do not test you on the concepts of GMAT in exactly the same as the official guides (e.g. too many calculations on the Quant part etc). Focus more on understanding the concepts tested and analyzing the questions you got wrong.

Yeah, definately get the OG Quant and Verbal guides. The more official questions you practice (and then analyze), the better your chances to understand how the test-creators think and to get a good score. Each guide has 300 questions if I remember correctly.

With respect to the second part of your question, you can do two free tests from the GMAT Prep program from GMAC. Again, I believe these tests are the closest you can get to the real test. I also bought the GMATPrep Question Pack 1 with about 400 practice questions. Only buy this if you have finished with all your guides and question packs and want to do extra practice. As I mentioned above, the more official questions you do and analyse, the better your chances to receive a high score.
