going going back back to cali cali

jk Cali can fuck itself and so can the USA as a whole I've decided. We're moving to Ukraine. The shit that made this country great no longer exists. This brief little empire's hegemony is on its way out. It's obvious, isn't it? It's full of a bunch of soft blowhards who all want a free lunch. Look at these comical excuses for leaders. This country is a joke. All this nonstop QE. Pulling 7 trilling out of my kids' future? No thanks. The world's gonna stop buying your debt at some point. I read a lot of Nat Geo in the sauna. Russia is the leader in the Arctic where tremendous amounts of land and resources are opening up daily. Also Siberia. Tons of land. That's more long term though in terms of who I get in bed with over the next 20 years. Am I making life decisions based on some amalgamation of soggy and outdated articles? Perhaps. This is the sort of this I like to do.

In the short term, we're gonna live pretty nice over there. I'm gonna keep making most of my USA income and live in a place where the average salary is like $350 a month when I made $25K last month dawg we're gonna live a stupid lifestyle. I could take a 10X income cut and still be set. Gonna keep the USA houses if we ever wanna move back and rent them out. My wife's gonna teach English at an American school cause she already has a Masters in education so we could already ball out a little off just her income alone if we really wanted to. Daughter's passport is in the works. We're planning on being out of here within 18 months.

I never felt at home here. I could never relate to the people or their way of thinking or behaving. I can't wait to return to my people who are honest and say what they mean and do what they say and understand the value of strength and personal responsibility and who do not have a culture of being offended. That's what the USA was about for a couple generations.

Yeah, Ukraine doesn't have any issues right now.

Look look look looooook I never said I wanted to live in a utopia or Sweden or any shit like that. Societal problems are all fine and good. I'll take the issues of living in Ukraine over this country though. I just don't want to be around the American attitude anymore. It's so weak and snively. It makes me shrivel my nose. I'm down for a change of pace. So is the wife. So we're doing that.

Just curious - how old are you and what do you do?

I'm 27 and I do residential property management, brokerage, RE investment, and deadlifts.

seems like you're doing the Cobra Tate thing (he lives in Romania), good luck, I know you're Ukrainian so hopefully the language won't be tough.

Thanks bro. I'll report back for sure. I'll be sending you all photos of my backyard chickens.

While I agree with your disdain for the US, why Ukraine? You pretty much have the ability to live in any country.. why not one of the Nordic countries?

It's where I was born. I feel a kinship to the culture. And I feel there will be something deeply psychologically satisfying about returning (permanently - I've visited plenty) to a place I sort of feel I got torn from at age four and that's when my troubles began. I have resolved most of the troubles over the years, but I still feel a bit out of control about it.

That makes sense, you know the place much better than me. Best of luck on your new venture- sounds like you can take advantage of the arbitrage in COL with your rental properties. Hopefully you find your peace in Ukraine

Hell yeah, bring the true american spirit to as much of the world as you can! Just be prepared to come back if shit hits the fan, USA will probably be the safest place for another couple generations

nah i disagree that it probably will be. i think this whole side of the world's gonna be kind of a joke in my lifetime. im not burning any bridges though. im just gonna accumulate as many properties and citizenships around the world as i can

Gf is Ukrainian and she's bullish on going back there for the first time in a decade. I will be monitoring. Currently comfy in North-West Europe, but I won't be staying here long term. US is/was an option, but unless it's Florida or similar (and it won't) I know I won't like it.

LatAm is too messed up at the moment to even consider, otherwise lovely place and I can practise my Spanish a bit.

Good luck, let us know.
