Going to be a 20 y.o. for SA 2022. Do I need a fake ID?
Going to be working at a BB for SA 2022 and won't be turning 21 until mid-September.
My question is, should I get a fake ID so I can order drinks if, for instance, an analyst/assoc/VP asks to grab drinks at a bar? I'm also wondering if its okay to have other people order drinks for me if I'm in more of a group setting (do NYC bars/restaurants card everyone?). I'm assuming grabbing drinks is pretty common but I'm curious if anyone else was/is in my position and whether you think getting a fake ID is a good idea.
I'll add that I enjoy drinking and was lucky to be friends with a few upperclassmen so I never felt the need to get a fake up until now.

If you ever are with people drinking alcohol, just ask for a club soda with lime, a Coke, or an iced tea.
Think it depends on your group. My group didn’t give af and encouraged it so we could drink with them lol
Definitely something you shouldn’t flaunt though… We asked analysts we were close with and got the green light from them after they talked with some of the seniors
