Goldman Cloud and Future of Sales?
Exposing myself as a Matt Levine stan but he had a piece today on the Goldman Cloud. As someone going into sales in a somewhat vanilla product it was kind of a wake up call that automation could be taking more and more seats away from the sell side. I tend to ignore the doomsday trolls on this forum but I can acknowledge it is a real trend. Curious what you all think, especially those that have been in industry, about the future. I'm thinking less sell side seats and maybe more buy side seats but could definitely be missing the bigger picture.
Switch into a non vanilla sales product and all your fears will (mostly) go away…at least for now. I think there will be less seats in both areas tbh.
