Goldman Sach Interview

Hello,
I am new on this forum and I have a quick question. I was contacted by a Goldman Sach recruiter a few weeks ago. I did not apply for a specific role with Goldman, which sort of surprised me when I was contacted.
I then had a phone interview, which I think went well. The question were pretty basic. I guess that the recruiter was just trying to get a feel as to whether I would be a fit for Goldman.
It has been two weeks and I have not heard anything. My application status online still says "Review".
Does anyone here has any insight as to why it may take that long?
Thanks

Sorry to say this, but it seems like they didn't like you. They usually send rejections in like several weeks or months after the interview. In your case, they might not send anything at all since it was a screening phone interview. But still no answer is a good answer!

Do what you want not what you can!

they leave it "under review" primarily for the reason of trying to find someone more ideal because, no offense, they probably believe there are better candidates out there. Goldman teams do not have a problem operating under maximum allowable head count, especially when the volumes are not at their max, which they obviously are not in the current economy.

Like Monty said above, if you are someone that they really want you will get your offer quick. This goes for most banks/funds/etc... not just GS, it's a recruiters market right now and there is just simply a gigantic pool of good candidates.
