application clearly stated that you need a minimum of some sort grades-wise (i am guessing, it is usually "UCAS points amounting to... and at least ... A levels"

if you checked that you have that, and you actually don't, you are probably fucked just the truth

maybe background check-people are lazy, but i wouldnt hope for that

A couple of questions, do you have contacts at the bank? Did you get a referral? Is your Uni a semi-target and perhaps you aren't aware of this? And lastly, as long as you didn't click a box confirming that you have met the minimum UCAS requirement then I would take this as a blessing and work your ass off to get a summer return offer.

A couple of pointers: do not underestimate the competition and at this point in time, as unusual as it is to say, Goldman is your best chance of getting a summer internship. It will be extremely difficult to get interviews next year if you don't meet the minimum requirements, attend a non-target and have no connections (networking).

Bitch please, I love bananas! If you found my advice useful, hit me up with one.

Had no contacts at all, did not get a referral and i can promise you 100% my university is not a targeted one at all! what i did was completely work my socks off every being rejected nearly everywhere. One thing i did do is really take my time to understand Goldman Sachs's culture and nail application/Cover letter and really tailored it to my division of interest.
