Goldman Sachs New Analyst Program

Recently, I receieved an email like this:

Dear Candidate,

You have been selected for a first round interview for a position in the Goldman Sachs New Analyst Training Program.

Our interview approach allows us to introduce you to many of the professionals with whom you may eventually work, and it enables you to make an informed decision about a career at Goldman Sachs. Your first interview with us will primarily focus on your past experiences and accomplishments and whether or not you are a fit with the firm. Second round and any subsequent interviews will be more technical in nature and we will continue to assess your compatibility with the firm.

We will be conducting interviews during the weeks of April 15-19th and April 22-26th. Please respond with three different dates and times you'd like to come in for an interview at the current 85 Broad St. New York, NY location.

Best of luck.

The problem is the email was sent from @gmail.com rather than @GS.com. I already replied the email with my availability, but I felt like it might be a spam. Should I call GS up to confirm?

LOL. Its probably one of your buddies messing with you. In addition to the fact that GS is no longer at 85 Broad.

On a related note I got an email from Solomon Brothers recently, but it came from an @hotmail.com address. I know Solomon doesn't exist anymore, and they probably won't use Hotmail, but I'm thinking of call up just to confirm. Anyone know how I can get in touch with them or an ex-Solomon guy at Citi to check on this? I really want a job in IBD
