Any info on comp for a 1st year analyst at goldman private equity group? I'm sure it varies between their London/NYC/Salt Lake locations, but does anyone have any idea?

dude don't even go to your interview tomorrow it would be a waste of time. Just wake up, do what you normally do, stay home and just sit there and do nothing...
what cracks me up is that the OP has left their interview prep until the NIGHT BEFORE the interview
Good luck tomorrow, let us know how things are on the buyside! rootin' for ya
ROFL. This kid must HATE himself!!!
actually feel pretty bad for the guy now. He even deleted his account and everything.
to be completely honest I feel bad for the little bastard too... but hopefully he learned a lesson, everyone needs to be humbled at some time or another.
how much better is anyone for making fun of him? just as wrong
and to buysideguy, what's point in being arrogant? won't help anyway; best of luck with your search; it seems that GS PEG is a fund of funds type of investor, or at least they employ that investment strategy. i once had an interview at MS, for a similar type of group, and that was what the group's work entailed, so i'm assuming it's the same type of thing.
if you're interested in direct investing, why not go for a hf/pe firm itself? recruiting is tough, but you can prob get your foot in the door at a small fund or something, if you try hard enough; then maybe lateral into GS at some point in your career.
whoever interviews this douche at GS, can you be sure to post his information on here so we can send him sympathy emails?
I'm sure you can find something better to do.
Can someone share what their interviews are like?
