Goldman Sachs PWM vs. EY Transactional Real Estate
Hi, I am new to this site. I have my signing deadline tomorrow for both GS & EY and I am still drawn between the two. I enjoy real estate, but I feel like I go into RE then I am stuck in it. I do enjoy the idea of PWM and the name brand of GS, but as a launch to my career, I am unsure of it.
It’ll be hard to get out of pwm even more than real estate.
What if I used the Goldman name to get to other parts of the company?
Goldman wealth management is very very different than the rest of Goldman. I would go into real estate. People have lateraled before to other IB shops and what not. Rare but I’ve seen it happen.
i know of 2 analysts in goldman PWM who lateraled to the investment bank in new york. once you're in the company, it's a lot easier to move around.
To clarify, I am a junior. When did your friends do this in their careers?
oh sorry these aren't friends, just heard from one of the FIPs at goldman about it. they were an analyst so either in their first or second year, most likely first if i had to guess
