Goldman Sachs Strats abnormally slow?

So I currently work in "tech" in SF but want to try out quant finance, and have been interviewing with GS strats. The weird thing is that I was told by someone I know at GS (on a different strats team though) that usually they are supposed to give feedback within 1 week, and yes/no within 2 business days of the final round. Each round for me had a 6 week delay (I haven't found something I'm happy with in the meantime so I accepted the interviews...), and then during my final round the MD mentioned that I would hear back within a few business days.

I've been waiting close to 2 weeks now, which is getting really awkward as I don't want to send a giant batch of applications to other companies during this time and then abruptly cancel all of them if GS extends an offer. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

IMO I did okay on the interviews, I got maybe 1.5 hour's worth of brainteasers (got them all easily)/SWE-type questions, the rest was soft questions. As much as I am upset about how they seem to just forget about me for weeks at a time, it's supposed to be a good group, and the employees there seem to really like it. The wait is really killing me though...
