Goldman Sachs Structured Finance & Lending (SFL)
An opportunity has arisen for the above group. I am currently on the credit derivatives desk of another bb so I don’t have too much info, and there’s not much online (they used to be called PFI and sit on the trading floor but there’s nothing really on them since they were rebranded and reshuffled internally).
Any insight will be appreciated. 1) what exactly is their mandate? I get the impression they are less about trading and more about loans (which doesn’t appeal to me to be honest). 2) I don’t get how they are different to the Structured Finance Group in the IBD of the bank? 3) any thoughts on culture, quality of work etc?
Thank you.
