Good Books For A Wannabe F500 Executive/Management?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can recommend some books for someone that is aspiring to become a F500 exec or a high-level manager of a company? I know that a lot of people here recommend, for example, Barbarians at the Gate and things like that, but I was looking more at books related to business strategy, business and financial management, or anything else that a wannabe CEO would benefit from reading. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is the first business book you should ever read.
The First Tycoon... biography of cornelius vanderbilt. That book is totally fucking epic. By the time of his death, Vanderbilt had a fortune equal to 1/9 of all the U.S. currency in circulation at the time.
The First Billion is the Hardest by T. Boone Pickens
Dude basically pioneered certain aspects of LBO and was the man in Texas oil...not an easy task
If you are serious about leadership, read books by Jack Welch.
Titan: The like of John D Rockefeller
