Good questions to ask in Acquisitions MF interview

What are some good questions to ask? I feel as if during most acquisition interviews, it tends to become conversational and you learn more than enough about their strategy, assets, type of equity they have, etc.....so it almost feels as if what's left to ask is being forced and BS

It depends on the interview itself of course, but I always like "bigger picture" discussions in interviews. Company strategy is a great one, as you said, but I'm also a fan of team structure and "how would you define success for this position?" or "what would make someone in this position successful over the next year, three years, five years, etc.?" type questions. They're both illuminating to you as far as expectations are concerned, but they help the interviewer envision you in the role. Also, any question that lets the interviewer ramble on for a while is a good question, as people generally come away from a discussion thinking it went well based on how much they talked.

Finally, don't force questions if they don't feel right. Typically the interviewer is going to ask if there is anything else before you leave and that's generally the best time for a non-sequitur question if you genuinely want to know the answer to something that didn't fit anywhere else.
