Google and Wall Street

My question is pretty simple

Will a non programming (yet extremely competitive) internship at Google hurt my chances on wall street (provided Google dosen't follow up with a job offer after the summer(do you blame me for having them as my first choice?))

It would be very beneficial if you give your background, what type of job on wall street you are looking for after, and what job at Google. Reason being, certain positions at Google are looked upon very favorably in the consulting arena and engineer backgrounds at Google are encouraged at Wall Street firms that are looking for quant-focused individuals.

----------------------------------------------------------------- “It's all nonsense. Firms use titles to pander to the egos of the employees without giving away the store. If you are getting the money, who cares about the title?"

Get a job at Google after you graduate!

Are you serious??????

Great quality of life, great perks/benefits, great brand name on resume, great networking

If your compensation ever levels off, go back for an MBA. B-schools luv teh googlz LOL.

Then do tech-banking, or consulting, or corp fin for Google, Apple, Dell, etc.

Don't be so narrow set on Wall Street. Google is a unique spot to be!
