Google APMM/RAMP vs. MBB consulting
How would you evaluate a position in the Google RAMP program vs. a position at a MBB consulting firm? Both seem pretty legit to me, but if you had to choose, which would you pick? I heard Google is more selective and is only taking on a class of around 15.

I'd choose the RAMP program if it was me.
I think the practical management training you'd get at Google would position you better for the future. Most people do not stay at consulting firms. They are great experiences, but you'll get more practical training that will make you a great candidate at any company if you decided to leave. I'm not knocking the MBB experience. It's excellent as well, but if I were choosing, I'd lean toward Google assuming people who are in the program or come out of it have good things to say.
Doesn't seem like there's a "bad" choice here. Either opportunity would give you great exposure to top notch people, an impressive brand on your resume, and position you well for business school if that's what you want to do later.

What's the comp for the Google role ?
total comp is the same for both, with MBB slightly more weighted on performance.
I am also interested in this program. How was the interview for the Google position? If you dont mind, what school and major are you in?
bump. Thought I'd bring this forum back as I'm interested in this as well. Anybody got any updated thoughts?
Techandconsulting maybe you can comment on this now that its ben two years?
