Dear Monkeys - especially monkeys in IB HR
I heard back from an HR at a major bank for a phone screen about a position that I applied a while ago.
The position is not consistent with my background but rather what I want to do. I mean my skill set is relatable but not directly applicable.
So while I am very happy to go for phone screen, I fear I would get automatically dinged in in-person interview with the team, due to the different background. If so, why would the HR reach out to begin with?
