Got an email saying I was "referred to Bank of America", but I already submitted my apps

So, I'm a rising junior at a non-target and have been networking my ass off. I got in contact with an MD on the trading floor at baml and they essentially told me they'd recommend me to their team. After seeing this, I submitted my app within 2 days. The problem here, however, is I submitted all that 2 weeks ago including the bs online questionnaire test the week after and just now received this email today. The email also says "if you have already applied online, you do not need to apply again", but I am just a little skeptical if my app will still be reviewed as a referral or not. What do you guys recommend I do if anything?
