Graduating in a recession?

So, I am looking at the news and basically most people are predicting that a recession is to come soon. Some say that it will come in 2020, others in 2021 and so forth. Suppose that an international economic crisis does come in 2020. What can a fresh graduate with minimal job experience do to get a job in finance? Will going for a Master in Finance or Ph.D. in order to ride out the recession be logical, or should I take the shittiest job out there, even if unrelated to the field? The data for 2008 grads' salaries isn't exactly reassuring.
