Graduating in December, FT BB Offer For July 2022

Hi friends, from what I've been reading and hearing the situation is pretty bad right now for finding IB talent, however, I've hit up my bank (Citi/BAML/BarCap/CS) to see if I can start on January and they have not responded at all. I cannot go 7 months without making any money and nobody really wants to hire and train someone for FT just so they can leave after 7 months. We are approaching November and I don't really want to just be unemployed nor have fun or any of that type of stuff, I just want to work, but haven't really found anything. Was wondering if anyone has been in a similar position and if you have any advice on what I should do.

Funniest

I hear McDonald's is paying investment banking hourly wages these days

Just go get an hourly job at target or some shit for the month of January. “Work” for 5 or 6 weeks and then get on sky scanner or hopper or something and look for cheap flights to Mexico. Look for a flight for <500 to literally anywhere in Mexico. Go to hostel world and find a cheap hostel (<10/night) and you’re set for 2 months. You really don’t want to start in January. Q1 is already looking real rough and you have plenty of time to work later.
