Grant writer KPMG - help

Hey guys, currently a first year finance student studying part time (commencing full time next year). Anyways, was browsing thru jobs and saw a casual position as a grant writer at KPMG. I have zero experience but they said they'll be training me. Do you think I should go for it or is it too early... like I have zero knowledge. It just seems like a really, really good opportunity. This is what the job description says:

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Expertise development – Taking steps to maintain an awareness of the government grants landscape, with a view to becoming a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to clients seeking funding.
  • Adding value within client meetings - Working with our clients, in their offices, to obtain details regarding the projects they are undertaking.
  • Information analysis and application preparation - Reviewing information and matching facts to the eligibility requirements of key Government programs, such as the R&D Tax Incentive and a range of other funding initiatives. Preparing responses to merit criteria and supporting documentation required for a variety of grant applications.
  • Supporting significant, interdivisional funding applications – Developing relationships with other KPMG teams and assisting in the development of grant applications involving inputs from multiple parties.
  • Financial analysis - Assisting with the calculation and substantiation of expenditure incurred by companies whilst undertaking their innovative projects.
  • Project management - Demonstrating your skills with regard to work planning, scheduling and budgeting, particularly in relation to funding applications subject to a deadline.
  • Business and career development - Learning a wide variety of business growth strategies, and taking advantage of opportunities to define your career within a collaborative team of professionals focused on achieving exceptional levels of service with our clients.
