Gratitude to an alumnus

So I have one great alumnus who is visiting my college in February for a presentation. He is very senior in a consulting firm and has previously referred me to a position which I got last year.

I plan to talk to him then. What should I say when seeing him except thankyou? Also, should i propose any activities to entertain him?

MMBinNC:
ask him if he wants you to do it with no hands, he'll know what you mean

This.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

It's nice to see you thinking of appreciating those that helped you out... not enough people do it. As someone else said, offer to grab a drink with him and maybe see how you can help him out. If he's coming back for a presentation maybe suggest some good talent that might be a good fit for the firm.
