They do okay in the second tier cities they have offices in (i.e. PHX, MPLS), but are several steps below Blair or Baird and I'd even put them below Mesirow and Lincoln Int'l.

In MPLS, they are below HW, Lazard MM, Piper and compete against other lower MM banks.

Lots of higher ups for the amount of deals they close, so expect long hours (80-100/wk guaranteed) and shitty pay, relatively speaking.

 

I would say they're a bit better than peinvestor's post would leave you to believe (but he's in the ballpark). He might know someone there, though.

I would describe them as the McColl Partners of the Midwest. Strong HQ, trying to grow nationally, and has financial sponsors coverage that punches above its weight. Should be able to break into lower/MM PE from there.
