What department is the internship in?

I have a buddy who works at Green Plains, it seems to be a fairly reputable workplace. It's also a fortune 1000 company.

I don't know much about Scoular however

Both good companies. Depends on what you really want to do in Ag Trading. Scoular is more of a pure trading house with some warehouse assets sprinkled across the Midwest. GPRE isn't as concerned with trading physical grain so much as maximizing the value of its ethanol plants. This involves some trading sure, especially in byproducts and ethanol marketing. But I would imagine most of their work on the grains side is just procuring corn feedstock. In general, Ag is trending more towards value added commodity processing as margins from trading are all but nonexistent. So GPRE might be a better long term play but after a round of layoffs a few years ago, Scoular is in pretty good financial shape too.
