Grockit/GMAT Pill for GMAT

Has anyone used Grockit for gmat preparation? There are mixed reviews, but all seem to be from 2011. Any input would be much appreciated.

In addition, anyone who has used GMAT Pill, please chime in with your 2 cents regarding its effectiveness.

More than willing to purchase both courses if need be.

I took GMAT cold (2 weeks of half-ass studying), managed to get a 700, but only got a 39 on quant. With Sackmann's Total GMAT Math and Challenge sets I have increased to q47 on MGMAT CATs. I am looking to break into the 49-50 range. Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

That's tough most of these courses are geared to get you to 650, Magoosh and Knewton both have 50 point improvement guarantees, but do read the terms. I'd say get Manhattan Advanced Quant, GMAT Club tests, start going over the less frequently seen stuff like combinatorics. Once you're in the 40s it seems that it is a transition from learning the basics to mastery, so I would say drill problem sets. You may want to look at Kaplan GMAT 800 as well. If you buy Kaplan's GMAT Premier, you get 5 online tests, Manhattan also throws them in with the book purchase.

I can only speak for GMATpill SC but I found it to be incredibly helpful. While Manhattan GMAT encourages you to learn the obscure rules behind the really high level SC problems GMATpill teaches you how to spot the error without knowing exactly what the rule is. I would recommend GMATpill for people looking to boost their SC/Verbal scores from high to really high end ie. 85th percentile to 95th percentile (My Case)
