Growth equity prep
Does anyone have any recommendations on best sources of growth equity interview prep / good background reading?
There's a lot of material around traditional PE out there, but really curious how people tackle growth equity questions, and build their interests around that

I read about the space a few weeks ago for some interviews. I primarily focused on some qualitative factors like talking about market-sizing, valuing a company with little or negative profit, etc. One question in particular was "How would you value a company with negative earnings?" or something along those lines. Management factors (are their incentives lined with an investors?), also management experience in the given industry/track record. If it's a SaaS company look at CAC, churn rates, and other metrics. M&I has a decent article on it.
You are actually pretty on point with this. Lots of focus on the qualitative factors and what makes the business itself strong. Showing focus on positioning, share, KPIs relative to industry peers and deal metrics are also key. Being a buyout guy in my past life, I noticed that growth investors were a lot more comfortable with having direct competition as well as long as they were able to articulate strong differentiating factors which made the business unique

Books below mostly apply for Venture but still tons of overlap and highly recommend.
