GS Lateral Background Check
Recently accepted a lateral offer from GS. HR suggested to put in my two week notice after background check gets cleared, so wanted to get an idea of how long it took for those of you who went through the similar process. Many thanks!
It takes anywhere from a few days to a full two weeks, just be patient.

Congrats on the new job! Took me about 10 days total for it, but they did give a heads up it might be slower due to covid delays.
Thank you. I was confused because different people gave me different timelines ranging from a few days to 3-4 weeks. 10 days sounds pretty reasonable to me, did that include the weekend or it was 10 business days? Thanks again!
Yea, same thing happened to me - I was told 1-2 weeks by one person and 4-6 by another haha. And it was 10 days total including weekends.
Curious what materials they asked you for: References? Transcripts? Any kind of legal paperwork? Thanks in advance
