Goldman Sachs job application status
I had applied for several positions on the GS career page. One of the job app status says review. Can anyone tell me what does that mean or has had similar experiences with.

It means you won't get the position.
i applied on feb 2nd and the app closed on feb 15 i was emailed by feb 13 inviting me to first rounds on the 22nd, less than 24 hours later i got an email inviting me back for final round super day interviews on feb 29th.
My point is, that they move super quick there. so if you've been waiting for a while and the application is closed then move on to the next one.
Hey RdevNY10,
what position did you apply for?
SA in Corporate Services & Real Estate in Jersey City, do you have any experience with Goldman super days?
Services SA
I'm waiting to hear back from the Securities superday...
Thats front office so thats a whole different ball game. From what i've read they get back to you super quick two days at most to get back to you after a super day for a front office gig.
I'm shooting for the Federation side(non-revenue)
Did you hear back from Services yet?

My application status for GS is "application received" forever. What does it mean? I applied in early October.
Means they didn't look at it and now it's too late. Hiring's over.
Probably this, unfortunately.
true
Really? You mean the hiring for full time analyst is over?
Been over.
Last year I received an offer but that status didn't change. But if you haven't heard anything by now, chances are you did not receive an offer.
However, there are still active GS listings on my school's career services system (GIR for PhD's, Derivative Analysis for PhD's, FICC San Francisco, IMD Strats, and GIR for undergrads).
Good luck!
Asiamoney is most likely right, online apps are not going to work at Goldman unless you have someone pushing it through for you. I was told that last summer by a VP there.
And also his avatar looks like the world if crying into its own hands...cannot be unseen.

Hey Chimps-
I had a final round interview for Goldman Sachs (Irving Office, previously "Archon Group") 12 days ago and still haven't heard back. My application status on GS's website is still listed as "Interview". Should I count myself out yet?
Note: at the end of the interview, my recruiter said that they still had several more FIRST round phone interviews to conduct for the position, leading me to believe it could take a while to hear back. I thought the interview went extremely well, can honestly said I did my best. Thanks!
They don't update the application status very quickly. But for final round interviews they start giving offers that night or sometime that week. You're most likely on hold.

Did anyone got per mail the following question: "We appreciate you may be interviewing with other institutions and so we encourage you to keep us posted of any offers you are considering, allowing us to be aware of any timing constraints that you may have"
Of course, I have several application going on but no concrete offer yet. What would you answer?
Thx
Something along the lines of my timeline is in line with your application timeline for other banks as of now but if anything changes I will be sure to notify you
Or just ignore and only let them know if you actually get offers...
Generic email, let them know if you are in the process of hearing back from other banks post-AC.
GS Application Status?? (Originally Posted: 10/19/2015)
Hi All
I applied for 5 roles at GS. Application deadline for each was last Friday. 2 roles I have already received call backs for HR screening interview.
For the application status only one role says "Applied" and has a date under "Application Date" - this was one of the two roles I received a call back for. Other 4 roles says "Review" and is blank under "Application Date". I have received email notification that my CV has been received for all 5 roles.
Anyone know what "Review" means and why the Applications Dates are blank?
Thanks
How were you able to apply to 5 roles when the application limits you to only 3 applications?
Review used to mean selected for a phone interview at least from my take all the ones that had that ended up with a phone interview but that was a few years ago it could simply be a closed from new applicant type deal and decisions on first rounds to come
Thanks for the info. The lack of clarity on the status and the missing dates is really frustrating.
I wouldn't hold my breath applying to Goldman online with any kind of expectation. I've been there--just move on
I think "review" just means exactly that, and I wouldn't put much stock in it. If you get it, you'll hear from them
I have no idea and completed neglected to ask. My status still remains the same. 1 says "Applied", 2 say "Review", 2 say "Inactive". The the one which says "Applied" I have done phone screening and have been called in for further in person interviews next week. For one of the "Review" jobs I did a HR screening interview which I passed but didn't get called in by the hiring manager for an interview. I received a call back from HR saying the hiring manager didn't select me for an in person interview but the status of this still says "Review" as I type. The other one under "Review" and the two "Inactive" ones I have heard from GS about.
Hey everyone, my status says "Skillset Match" could anyone clarify what does it mean?
GS Online Application changed from Applied to Review, does it mean that the hiring manager has my resume? (Originally Posted: 05/08/2013)
Actually, I applied for a bunch of positions, two of them changed to Review (after being 'Applied' for almost 3 months) and one changed to Review (after being 'Applied' for a week)... what does it mean? 1) the HR is looking at it 2) I passed the HR screening and the hiring managers have my resume 3) Nothing... no hope with the GS online application...
What are you talking about exactly? Aren't GS openings LONG closed?
http://www.goldmansachs.com/a/data/jobs/search.html Like any other big corporation, they have openings all the time...
their are pretty slow with changing the status online
dont worry about it... like 15 of my friends and I tried to figure out if there is any connection between status changes and anything - conclusion was that it is random...
some people got invited to interviews, some not, some after a day and no status changes, others after months and several status changes etc.. there was no logic
but I think that your resume was screened by now
Why do you expect anyone here to know? This isn't HROasis.com; we have no idea how the piece of shit online application works except for the fact that if you used it we probably won't be seeing your resume.
