Guggenheim Corporate Credit Group

Has anyone been through the interview process with this group or have any helpful insight about them? Have an upcoming phone interview and can't find much online about the group in general.

Thanks in advance

cant speak on any of the U.S. offices, but I interviewed at a regional office in Europe.

First round was a superday of 6-7 interviews, all with a different theme: 1. mental math / brain teasers 2. accounting / corp. finance questions 3. personality 4. competencies, etc etc. Those who got through to the next round would be given a credit, likely a 10k and a CIM and prepare a presentation for the team - probably a 1-2 week turnaround.

My assumption is that the U.S. offices have a more traditional recruitment approach. Mental math / brain teasers IMO are a poor gauge of a potentially, strong credit analyst.

Interviewed for a summer analyst role at the firm's NY office last year. Incidentally, my experience was extremely similar to technoviking's. The superday consisted of themed rounds that tested markets knowledge (e.g. a stock pitch), accounting, fit, and brainteasers (which were pretty dumb IMO).

Candidates for the summer analyst job only have to go through a phone interview and a superday. Full-time candidates have to do the additional pitch + presentation with 1 week preparation, like what technoviking said. Although I believe it's a traditional stock pitch rather than a credit pitch.
