Headed to Gugg next summer but recruited at both so will give my thoughts:

-Gugg name is better

-pay at Gugg will likely be better

-culture is a wash, really enjoyed both the banks

-you will be working on primarily IT services at Gugg, could be a pro or con depending on preference

-unsure what exits are from Gugg (because group is so new) but would expect them to be >=Lincoln

Also recruited at both and would agree with these statements. If you know you want to be in tech, go with Gugg. If you are unsure about which industry, Lincoln might be the better choice because there is more optionality. At the end of the day, the cultures are both really good, both are MM in Chicago, pay is better with Gugg as of right now, and I don't think you can go wrong with either choice

Heard from Chicago friends that deal flow is very strong in Gugg Chicago, office has gone from like 5 bankers to 50 in two years and that it's a nice group of people.

Think Gugg's too new to really have any PE exits -- they've only been around for I think less than two years. But not sure if any analysts have gone PE route.

Curious what Guggenheims floor layout is in Chicago (lots of offices, cubicles, what's the bullpen like)

Also wondering what the benes are on ubers and meals
