Hallo German monkeys, I need a piece of advice!
I am an undergrad student at a Baltic university (somewhat regional target), I will finish my bachelor's in two years (took extra courses every sem). I plan to do a master's at LSE or Oxford, but since I have 11 months free, I am planning to do an IB internship in Germany. My level of German is A2/B1 at the moment, and I plan to be B2 by the year-end. I am currently in Belgium, doing my exchange semester at a well-known university. What do you guys recommend doing? am I being too optimistic (in terms of getting an internship in Germany? I am applying to MM firms, but almost all of them require C1/C2. Big 4 also requires C1/C2.
BTW I am an international student in the EU. At this moment, I am applying to corp fin, TAS, and IB internships.

In Germany, MM shops are actually harder because they work with "Mittestand" clients that refuse to/can't speak English. By contrast BBs (and yes, DB and BNPP are both considered as such in mainland Europe) work almost exclusively for large cap, publicly-listed companies (i.e. big companies whose working language is English), meaning there's often little or no pressure to speak German. This is not the case for *every* BB in Frankfurt, but do your homework and you'll realize that some have cultures which are more 'international'. If you're willing to do ECM, it is easier still, as it's an extremely Anglo-centric business by nature.
