Harrison Street Chicago
Hi, does anyone have information on the total compensation (salary + bonus) for a portfolio management analyst at Harrison Street in Chicago.
Also, curious what the hours are like. Should I expect IB hours or slightly more laid back?
Other opportunities I’m considering is brokerage at JLL (Chicago) which is literally the opposite of portfolio management but I’m extremely interested in Real Estate.

Received offer from Heitman/Harrison/Chicago RE firms. Currently An1 at BB making 85k base +bonus.
They offered me 60k…. Turned down offer. Were they dicking me or what’s the deal with the low RE base?

recently exited Harrison as an acquisitions analyst...good experience but generally would recommend staying away or going IB + PE route

Have a mentor who was an acquisitions analyst there but jumped to another REPE firm. Said all-in for acquisitions was ~$100K for first year/second years (20% lower for asset management but have a lot better hours). Supposedly they raised comp 25% since a bunch of analysts left for better pay, could be wrong though. Lower pay than peers but seems like a good place to start for acquisitions if you want to do a lot of deals and have strong exit opps (from LinkedIn - Bain Capital / Carlyle / Lone Star / Brookfield / PCCP)

1st year Acq: $67.5K + 20%
1st year AM: $65.0K + 20%
They have not retroactively adjusted pay to my knowledge (asked someone there yesterday)

I dunno about comps, I just know that if you are on the senior housing team site visits are extremely depressing. Heard it from a girl I hooked up with who was an analyst.
