I'm going to declare Harry Potter non-lindy and close the thread.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

Voldemort was weak as shit, barely a small scale domestic insurrectionist incapable of critically disrupting the affairs of the country he was in, and was beat by a bunch of kids without any real guerrilla/battle strategy training (much less a high school education). I think you're thinking of someone like Sauron that was much more menacing for a much longer time.

That was the nerdiest thing I've ever said on this forum.

haha this made me laugh. Especially because I agreed with everything. Sauron fucking got killed but didn't die technically - hard to beat.

A villain who is afraid of death is not a great villain. Voldemort was so afraid of death that he split his soul into 7 pieces. All because of a prophecy he made true by acting upon it. A truly great villain doesn't fear anything, has nothing to lose. The villains who just want to watch the world burn, are the most fearsome villains. The Joker from the Dark Knight and Thanos are both much better villains.

Well, I feel like Thanos didn't want to ruin the world, he was trying to save it in his own distorted way.
