Harvard Researchers Have Successfully Reversed Aging In Mice

Unbelievable.. although quite far from human trials.

So, Dr. David Sinclair, who has spent his entire life researching aging thinks he has found a way to stay younger, longer. Apparently, there is an essential molecule that humans need, called NAD; as we age, we lose NAD molecules in our cells, which results in what we call "aging" aka deterioration of the body.

In a new study in the journal CELL, Sinclair and his team at Harvard Medical School's Center for the Biology of Aging boosted NAD levels in the blood vessels of old mice.

"Now those blood vessels are young again. We get more blood vessels, more blood flow and the old mice, even the young mice, can run up to 50 percent, sometimes two times as far on a treadmill without getting tired," Sinclair said.

It's just crazy to see how far we continue to go with science and technology. At what realistic time will we be able to slow down aging and effectively double/triple/x^? our lifespans? How long would you live, if you could choose?

From what I understand, positive results on mice rarely work the same in humans

Mice + cocaine studies have results that translate to humans.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

It seems like we're starting to make a lot more progress with things like this. i.e. aging, cancer, etc. I'm curious how long it will take for these things to actually become affordable enough for the general public, though. I'm also curious how many people would actually do it.

Unless I could convince my wife to add on another X amount of years, I wouldn't want to stick around. I am way too curious to see what's on the other side. If it's nothing, okay. If there's something, it'd have something this world couldn't give me, no matter how long I live. At least, that's my belief.
