Has anyone heard of Midtown Partners?

Hi All,
I got an interview with Midtown Partners to talk with VP.
I'm new to this industry. I'm going to get my PhD in Biological Engineering and helped found a biotech start-up.
Have anyone heard of this company? I wonder how the interview format will be.
I will appreciate it if anyone can provide some insight.

You are right. I did a 15min Skype interview with the CEO. I have some biotech entrepreneur experience, took a few courses from business school, and going to take CFA test this year. I'm going to interview with the VP of Investment Banking next week. The VP has a MS in biomedical engineering and MBA from Booth. I guess he will likely to gauge both my understanding of finance and biotech.

Thank you so much!

I haven't heard of Midtown Partners per se, but I've had interviews with similar boutiques focused on Healthcare advisory. If that's anything to go by, the interview should be a fairly straightforward one. You can expect a few technical questions related to accounting and DCFs, in addition to the common behavioral and fit stuff. Spend some time on "why Healthcare." Your background obviously sets you up well but I can't tell you the importance of stressing that enough during the interview. Hope this helps :)

Thank you so much! I'm working to link all my past experience to 'why healthcare' in PE... I'm just a little worried that the potential finance technical questions will go too deep. Their main focus is PIPE and M&A. They also mentioned I don't have any licenses yet. I'm not sure if this is going to be a big issue.
