Have no idea what I should do.
Hey guys,I need some advice about what I should do.
I'm a 20 year old studying finance in Romania due to above average grades and no extracurriculars. Fortunately I've put effort in college and got good grades. Since this is Romania I don't really have any great internship opportunities in finance.
I've got 1 year until I graduate and have no idea what I should do after.
Should I start all over again in the US?
Should I try and get internships in the US with my degree from Romania?
Should I get a master's degree from a prestigious university in the US?
I should mention that I have citizenship so that's not a problem.
Any advice is welcome,thank you.
You should post in the on topics?
If you have no idea what you should do you should do investment banking.
As a first stop, you may consider something in Western Europe or even Central Europe. There are some pretty good finance jobs popping up. The Big 4 has their corporate finance practice (MM IB-ish thing) and TAS going on in several countries, some banks have risk management operations out there, and then actual IBD and Corp Fin opportunities are present as well if you look hard enough. This is worth taking a look at because unfortunately it is likely that your Romanian degree will not be held in high regard overseas. Best of luck!
I have no idea if it's against the rules or not,but I really felt the need to hear more suggestions and I didn't want to open another thread.
As I mentioned before I will be going into my final year, and I'm really thinking to start all over again with a degree in finance but in another country.
I am planning to study at a community college and then transfer to a semi-target,target school or the best school I can get into.
Will my age make it difficult for me to find an internship and after,a job? Will I be able to get into any internships if I was a transfer? Is it worth starting all over again to get the same degree but from another University?
I'm just really worried since I don't want to make a huge step only to find out that it was for naught.
Edit: I forgot to mention I am 20 years old.
