HC Banking to Large Pharma/Biotech back to HC Banking/PE

Here is an idea that I have been throwing around lately. Currently, I'm a first year analyst at a boutique investment bank. My group is focused on healthcare/biotech, which I love. I'm curious to see if anyone has made the transition from banking to a finance related position (or another position) within a fortune 100 company, it doesn't have to be HC related. I have some really solid connections at Big Pharma/Big Biotech that I know would give me a position relating to finance within their organization, potentially on their internal M&A team.

I say this because I think it would be a great experience for when I go to apply to b-school. I also think it would give me credibility coming out of b-school, should I want to jump into a HC focused PE shop. I think industry experience at the corporate level would provide significant value when returning to HC focused Banking/PE.

Also, if you believe it would be more valuable to take on a position outside of the finance realm within a F100 please state your opinion.

Thank you so much for the feedback.
