He viewed my profile on LinkedIn. Now what?
Hi everyone,
I cold emailed someone on LinkedIn a few days ago. The kind of career he has is very similar to what I want to do 10-15 years from now. He had put his work email id on his linkedin profile, so I sent him an email asking for an informational interview.
This morning I can see that he has viewed my profile, but he never replied to my email. I would really like to talk to this guy. Should I message him again and say something along the lines of "hey I saw that you viewed my profile, i'd be very interested in talking to you.." etc. etc.
How should I approach this? Should I just not do anything and assume that he simply did not want to reply? Or should I try my luck and email him again? If so, what should I say?
No that is so creepy
Follow up in a few days, but do NOT mention that you saw he looked at your LinkedIn profile.
There's a fine line between showing initiative and being weird. Stay on the right side of that line
I thought based on the title that this was going to be an Elite Daily article for a second.
thanks for that OP. I have a similar experience I'd like to share.
So I was staying in NYC during my internship days and my neighbor had a cat. Every night this cat would scream. No one was getting any sleep.
One day, the cat wandered into our yard and I realized this invaluable opportunity right away.
I went down to the drug store and bought some superglue. I squeezed out all the content into a cup and dipped the end of my roomate's toothbrush in. With toothbrush in hand, I then approached the cat. The cat suspected nothing.
I then SUDDENLY pressed it on the floor and shoved the toothbrush into its asshole. It was meowing loudly but once the deed was done, we got a cat running around the neighborhood with a toothbrush stuck in its ass (with superglue never the less).
I think you should email this story to that guy on linkedin. I guarantee a response. Might even be his cat.
Omg. Best WSO post.
The crazy shit you post makes me laugh way harder than it should. And for that, I thank you.
What the fuck
He replied! I have been looking for a job for so long and have had so many rejections/silence. I was getting really desperate and I think I was slowly sliding down to creepville.
May be your skills didn't meet the expectations of the recruiter.
